How Comfort Affects Productivity

Here's a quick Friday post- consider today how your level of comfort affects your productivity.  I'm not just talking about back pain or carpel tunnel syndrome.  Rather, look at the more subtle aspects of life that might be crimping your workflow.  These might include:

  • clothes that are too tight or uncomfortable

  • lighting- too much, not enough, etc.

  • air quality

  • position of your desk

  • location of your "quick reference" materials (files, project folders, etc.)

  • whether or not you've drunk enough water during the day

  • hunger level

  • noise level

The good news- all of these can be fixed.  The next time you're feeling in a rut, pick just one of the items above and work on it.  You'll be surprised at how much it will change your day and outlook on work.
